Vehicle Base Platforms Units (VDU) Add-On with Mecha Mounting Bracket

Mobility System Modular Units with Mecha Mounting Brackets (set of two)

The The VDU-710/JS electric-powered complex terrain track-drive Vehicle Base Platform Units (VDU) provide a tracked mobility platform for the Industrial Mecha Command Frame. These modules attach to the ankle joint assemblies of the command frame and function as independent tracked vehicle bases, enabling the mecha system to operate across uneven terrain where wheeled systems may be less effective.

Tracked vehicle platforms distribute weight across a larger ground-contact area than wheels, reducing ground pressure and improving traction on soft ground, sand, mud, snow, and rugged industrial environments.

The VDU architecture allows the mecha platform to transition from a legged or wheeled system into a crawler-style robotic vehicle, expanding operational capability in off-road or hazardous terrain conditions.

Each set includes two vehicle base platform units designed for left and right mobility modules.

VDU-710/JS Powered Track Chassis

The VDU-710 JS Electric-Powered Track Chassis is an industrial crawler-style vehicle base designed to provide high-traction tracked mobility for robotics platforms and experimental vehicle systems.

These tracked chassis modules incorporate durable track systems and structural mounting points suitable for integrating robotic control systems, industrial payloads, and modular vehicle architectures.

Key Features

  • Rubber track crawler mobility system
  • Customizable industrial track chassis design
  • High-traction ground contact for uneven terrain
  • Modular frame suitable for mecha modular platform integration
  • Configurable mounting points for additional equipment or sensors
  • Designed for off-road mobility and industrial environments

Tracked chassis systems are commonly used in robotics, inspection platforms, industrial vehicles, and autonomous ground vehicles because they provide superior traction and stability compared with wheeled systems in difficult terrain.

Functional Role in the Mecha Platform

When installed on the Industrial Mecha Command Frame, the VDU-710 units function as dual tracked vehicle bases, converting the mecha system into a tracked robotic vehicle platform.

Benefits include:

  • Improved traction on loose or uneven ground
  • Reduced ground pressure through distributed track contact
  • Enhanced obstacle crossing capability
  • Greater operational stability on rugged terrain
